Marisa Rodriguez is the CEO of the Union Square Alliance, leading efforts to revitalize San Francisco’s iconic 27-block district, home to $21 billion in assessed value. Drawing on her background in law enforcement, regulatory oversight, and government affairs, she has implemented strategic safety initiatives, championed economic development, and launched a comprehensive Strategic Recovery Plan. Notable projects include securing a permanent police presence in Union Square, advancing flexible zoning to attract new business, and delivering the first phase of the Powell Street Improvement Project on time and under budget. Previously, Marisa served as Director of San Francisco’s Office of Cannabis, where she oversaw business regulation, promoted equitable participation, and developed the City Administrator’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion plan. Her earlier career as an Assistant District Attorney and Director of Community Relations focused on public safety, social justice, and re-entry programs. A San Francisco native, Marisa’s leadership spans tourism, public safety, and nonprofit sectors, with a consistent record of driving positive change.
